Kazakhstan - USA - Everest expedition 2007
February, 6 Maxut Zhumayev and Vadimgan Khaibullin went from Almaty to New York. Their goal was to do lections about Kazakhstan mountaineering in Boston (Harward Mountaineering Club), Denver, Aspen. Feb, 8 Kazakhstan adventures and film "Dhaulagiri - Annapurna" were presented in HMC. The head of HMC, Alexander Koul, showed great HMC archive and library to the guests - AAJ archives from the beginning of XX century and BAJ from 1856. Maxut and Vadimgan discussed with Alexander Koul the possibilities of future common high-altitude expedition.
Feb, 12 they presented film "Dhaulagiri - Annapurna" in Aspen. Next day they met Steve Marolt - the head of Aspen Alpin Club team. In 2000 Maxut climbed Shishapangma with guys from Aspen Alpin Club.
Now Kazakhs and climbers from Aspen Alpin Club are preparing together to Everest expedition. First they plan to climb Cho Oyu with ski descent - as acclimatization. Then Everest - with ski descent too.
