Мария Карделл: Ветер и звезды Патагонии (восхождение на Mojon Rojo)

3 января мы отправились в Нипонино, где остался наш депозит. Дождь и сильный ветер сопутствовали нам
во время подхода.
Спасибо Grande Grimpe за хорошую одежду, которая нас защищает. К счастью, прогноз погоды на завтра был
позитивным. В этом сезоне в горах очень сухо. Первые 250 метров мы прошли по скальному кулуару

Дальше в кулуаре подъем шел по мягкому снегу и тонкому льду. Затем обычный маршрут поворачивает направо и проходит по несложным плитам, но ветер зверски усилился, поэтому мы решили продолжить прямо по микстовому кулуару, чтобы добраться до седловины.

Несмотря на ураган, мы продолжили путь по восточной стороне горы. вышли на вершину и спустились в Эль Чалтен прямо через Laguna Sucia. Весь путь от "lo de Trivi Hostal" и обратно занял 36 часов.
Была темная ночь, когда мы вернулись, и звезды сияли так, как мы еще ни разу не видели в Патагонии.

Ascent to Mojon Rojo.

On the 3th of January we departure to Niponino where is located our deposit. The rain and the strong wind comes with us during the approach. Thanks to Grande Grimpe for the good clothes that protect us. Luckily the weather prediction for the next day was positive. Condition in the mountains this season is very dry. So we did the first 250 meters of the corridor climbing by rock.

We climb up by the second half of the corridor by soft snow and thin ice. Then normal route turns to the right following an easy slabs but the wind has increased incredible so we decided to continue
straight on by mixed gulley to reach the saddle.

Despite of the hurricane we continued by the eastern side of the mount. Reaching the summit and spent descent to El Chalten directly, trough Laguna Sucia. It was round trip in 36 hours from "Lo de Trivi Hostal" and back.
It was dark night when we arrived, the stars ? were shining as we never seen before in Patagonia.
