13 July, 2003 Simone Moro: Finally we reached Broad Peak Base camp. Today is the first day of relax here, but we get already bad weather and snow. Our weather report coming from Karl Gabl from Innsbruck announced this weather already 2 days ago and for tomorrow we should have still bad weather and strong wind. Starting from after tomorrow the good weather should arrive and stay for some days. For that reason we will start for our attempt in alpine style.... The Russians are in K2 Base Camp and they should start also in the next days. Ciao Simone, July 12, 7-41pm
11 July, 2003 Simone Moro: Hello my friends. After long time of silence today I send you report. We are in 1 day walk to the Broad Peak and K2 base camp. Today is good weather and we can see wonderful mountains all around. We get one week bad weather and the weather report said that the sun will shine for the next 5 days and than again bad weather....
