Nanga Parbat (8126 m), Broad Peak (8046 m) and K2 (8611 m) Kazakhstan Expedition
Summer 2003

15 July, 2003 Baglan Zhunusov:

July 15, 6-00 pm (Almaty time). Just received the dispatch from Iljinsky: The first group of Kazakhstan team have reached Camp 3 (7200 m) in 1,5 day. They will attempt the summit bid tomorrow. The second group is in Camp 2. They will go to Camp 3 tomorrow, and maybe try to summit too. The weather in the region is unstable, but in spite of it, the team is going to summit.

JC Lafaille and Ed Viesturs summited Broad Peak July 15 in 10-45 (Pakistani time) The same day Simone Moro and Inaki Ochoa summited too.
