arrived to Islamabad. Four TV channels in Kazakhstan will transmit the live video

Tom Masterson and Vladimir Gaidamak will stay at 8300 (camp 3) due to high
winds. Perhaps they will try tomorrow! Siberian climbers are descending to ABC

Pakistan will selebrate it this summer - 50th anniversary of the first
ascent of Nanga Parbat (July 3, 1953 by Hermann Buhl). This was and still is one
of the greatest Himalayan ascents ever. Nanga Parbat ascension will be the first

East (7804 m): May 10 Babanov and Suviga reached 7450 m. The weather was very
windy and the temperature was lower than -35C. Duo came back to the BC May 11.
Their route crossed with Kamerlander's one at 6900 m, where he put two tents.
Babanov and Suviga decided to make the next attempt on May 15. 12

East (7804 m): the next attempt of the summit bid at night May 3-4 has failed
by the weather - very strong snowfall. Climbers returned to the BC. Kamerlander's
team didn't climb that day. Babanov and Suviga decided to repeat the attempt May
4-5 - there are very few time before the May 8 when next snowfall is waiting.

but reached only 6400 - the avalanche danger forced them to turn back. They want
to repeat the attempt this night. 2

East (7804 m): Hans Kamerlander has chosen a different route to the top (for
ethical reasons). Kamerlander's route will be the same which was tried by Marko
Prezeli (more left than Babanov). Babanov and Suviga didn't start to their summit
attempt April 30, but they are ready - waiting the better weather conditions.
