July, 2002 The combined team of the Central Army Club of Kazakhstan
Republic have finished their short expedition to Peak Lenin (7134m).
The goal: speed ascent to Lenin. Denis Urubko
reached the summit from the Camp1 for 8 hours 5 minutes and descended
back to Camp1 for 4 hours 10 minutes - summary 12 hours 15 minutes!
The previous result of the Kazakhs on the Lenin Peak was 14 hours
( 9,5 hours up and 4,5 hours down) Congratulations to Denis!

famous Russian high-altitude mountaineer Gleb Sokolov begins his
Traverse Pobeda Peak: from Dikij Pass (5300m) he will climb West
Summit (6928m) than Main (7439m) and East Summit (7039m)
