BC from 7000 m - the Mountain wins. 28
June, 2003 "Ukraine - Karakorum 2003" Expedition to Trango
Tower and Hidden Peak started to Karakorum. Two teams are going together to Skardu,
and than every team will go to their base camps. Hidden Peak team (6 persons from
the different Alpin clubs of Ukraine) is led by Vladislav
Terzyul, who have summited 12 8000-ers (Shisha Pangma Central including).
They are going to climb the new route on the South-West Face of Hidden (to complete
Kukuchka route) 27

who summited Denali in May 2001, died June 26 in the car accident in USA. He was
supported by Boukreev Memorial Fund. We published Andrey's diary about his last ascent - on Russian only...

congratulate Ed Viesturs and JK Lafaille , who summited Nanga Parbat! The
Kazakh team is going now to the Skardu, where they'll rest before the trekking
to the K2 BC.
