The Neva
Extreme Tourism Centre have organized
the expedition to Urrielju peak 2519m (called also Naranxo
de Bulnes - the orange-tree of Bulnes) It was the second ascent
by this route, the first winter ascent
This
peak is located in the Kantabria mountains (the northern part
of Perinees) |

The team climbed via the"Winter dreams"(ED+ 500m A4) The first
ascent via this route was realized in 1983 by two Spanish
climbers who spent 69 days on the Wall ( the World record)
Since that the route was repeated twice at summer
In 1998
French climbers tried it in winter, but after 16 days, with
only 100m remaining to the top, they gave up. |

was the part of the winter All Russia Mountaineering Championship.
